CIG Programs

Business Clinic
The Baldwin-Wallace College Business Clinic (BC) is a community outreach program for small business owners and new business entrepreneurs.  The Clinic's primary goal is to coach our clients through the development of their business plan.  We also offer other services for clients which include an in depth review of their existing business plan or a feasibility study for a start-up business idea.  These programs are part of the Center For Innovation and Growth at Baldwin-Wallace College.  Contact Phil Bessler for more information.

Fire Service Project
Working with mayors and community leaders from five southwest Cuyahoga County suburbs, six B-W students and three faculty members are involved in an investigation of ways to improve quality and reduce costs for fire and emergency services.  This early initiative toward regionalization examined best practices from around the country as well as the specific needs of the five communities.  The cost was underwritten by corporate partnerships and foundation grants.  Communities could begin to implement the findings as early as summer 2006.

Glengary
The Business Administration Division has partnered with Glengary LLC, a locally based venture catalyst enterprise.  Glengary provides B-W students an opportunity to attend operating partner meetings and see how venture investment works.  Glengary focuses not just on investment capital, but also on human capital, seeking to benefit the community as well as the regional economy.  Click here to read article "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained" from Inside Business Magazine.
