Coming up on Tuesday, December 2, 2008...  The nationally-ranked (www.d3hoops.com) Yellow Jacket women's basketball team, 2-1 overall, hosts its home opener when it plays traditional rival Wittenberg University at 7:00 p.m. in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center in Berea. Coming up on Saturday, December 6, 2008...  The wrestling team travels to Rochester, New York to compete at the Rochester Institute of Technology Tournament at 9:30 a.m. The swimming and diving teams compete in Day 2 of the Fredonia State (N.Y.) Invitational Meet. The men's basketball team, 2-3 overall, hosts Capital University in its OAC opener in the Ursprung Gym at 3:00 p.m. (Updated Five-Game Men's Basketball Season Statistics and Game Scores) The game will shown by SportsTime Ohio (www.sportstime ohio.com) on a delay basis at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and again on Sunday (Dec. 7) and Monday (Dec. 8) at 12:00 noon. The women's basketball team opens its OAC season at Capital at 3:00 p.m. in the Capital Center. THe B-W and Capital women were picked to finish first and second, respectively, this season.

Two XC Runners Compete at National Meet...   Senior women's cross country runner Ashley Scullion (Kentwood, Mich.) and junior teammate D'Arcy Hlavin (Berea) finished 94th and 182nd, respectively, of 279 total runners at the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet at Hanover (Ind.) Football Team Ends Season With Win Versus Capital/ Watch it on the Web...  The football team, 5-5 overall and 5-4 in the OAC, wrapped up the 2008 season with a 17-0 victory over Capital University. Wojtkun is an ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-American in Soccer...  Senior midfielder Allie Wojtkun (North Olmsted) was named as an ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-American soccer student-athlete. (Complete Wojtkun ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-America Release) She is the 77th B-W student-athlete to earn Academic All-America accolades, more than any other OAC school.

Five FB Players Named All-OAC....  Five football players have been named to the 2008 All-OAC team. Senior wide receiver Matt Lepley (Bellevue) made the first team, senior defensive tackle Joe Kowalski (Macedonia/ Nordonia) and junior offensive tackle Brett Scarl (North Olmsted were on the second team and junior quarterback Anthony Gardner (Rocky River/ St. Edward) and junior linebacker Paul Burger (Mentor) were honorable mention choices.
